This year’s course starts in November and the children will receive Holy Communion for the first time at the end of April next year. At your child’s baptism you promised to bring them up in the practice of the faith. Through a series of sessions, we will help you prepare your children for the Sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation.
The course is for children from families who regularly worship at St. John’s. If you would like your child to be included, please complete the form you can download here and return it to the Parish Office by 3rd November 2023 or email it to islington@rcdow.org.uk (No later Please). Please note the following:
· Children must be 7 years old by 31 August 2023 (year 3 or above)
· If you do not live within the parish of St John’s, you will need to obtain a letter of permission from your parish priest giving permission for your child to receive the Sacrament at St John’s and confirm that you attend Mass regularly.
· There will be a meeting for parents at 7pm on Friday 3rd November 2023 in the church. The course will commence on Sunday 12th November 2023 at the 11.00am Mass.
